Dear FOBIA members;

tonight at the meeting of the palmer woods association, in Detroit, a
national historic district, a board resolution was passed.

first the we affirm that the 100 year aquarium, designed by Albert Kahn,
with tile by pewabic is a Detroit masterpiece.

second that we feel that the aquarium is a perfect companion to the late
Victorian conservatory on belle isle.

third we feel that both the mayor and the city council should give a 120
grace period, to give an in depth review of the closing.

most of us in palmer woods live in homes that are 65-75 years old. the board
was unanimous in our vote to keep our aquarium open.

our president will be sending a communication to the council and the mayor
ASAP.

your friend;

patricia brochstein
